"THE FOLLIES." To-ir.orrow niglit the new Musical Comedy Costume Company, "The "Follies," will make tiuir initia' bow to an Oamaru auditnee, and the pio3pects are that the audience will be a large one indeed, "The Follies" come well recommended, for everywhere they have appeared so far in the Dominion they have received requests for return visits. The press notioes find a difficulty in singling out any individual member of "Hi; Hollies" for specia;) recommendation, eo evenly 'balanced are they in artistic, merit,' The concerted numbers are made n speciality, ami for their work in this direction ' The Follies" have received most laudatory notices. - The whole entertainment -is gay, -bright, lively and highly entertaining, the sole aim being to amuse. In sketches also "The Follies" are strong,. a nd , the one to ut produced to-morrow night, "Writing a Play," gives Mr Percy Oli'ton nn excellent opportunity to display his ability as ai comedian. Mr Clifton' is the author of all the sketches produced .by ''The Follies." MiBS CißSy O'Ktefe and Mr Clifford O'lveefc are the leading vocalists of 'The Fobies," and their cultured voices have earned for them the warmest of favorable criticism. The other members are Miss Iris Edger (soprano), Mr Kennedy Black (ibaritone), Miss Lily Moore (soubrette), Mr Hu.jh C. .Steyne (comedian), the Sisters LuGsaime (lancers), and Mr Percy Dalton (eccentric dancer.), Mr William Butler is musical director.
