The "Book Monthly " has ft story from the Pacific Slope about Joa<iuin Miller mid a fashionably dressed lady whom he took in for dinner. It happened that the lady had been known lo hiin from childhood, and that encouraged her to discourse on the beauties of a Parisian gown which she wore.
