Thero was an average yar ling of fat sheep, both as regards numbers aj\d quality. The yaiding of fat cattle totalled 'l2) held of mixed quality. Thcro were seme lots of prime steers and heifers, but a considerable proportion was I'gVit nnd unfinished. Fat Lambs.—ll6B wero penned, chiefly prime sorts. Well finished lambs wero firm at Jate rales, but there was littlo or no doihand for stores, whicl; showed a Blight decline. Ucst lambs Mb 6d to 16s Cd, extra to 18s, medium to good 13s to Us, light 9s to lis, Pigs.-125 wero yarded, which sold at the opening prices for porkers, and baconers not so good as last week, hut they improved towards the oiid. There was practically 110 demand for small pigs. Suckers 9s to 12s, slip? 13s fid to 15s, stores 18s to 2i», porkers 34s to 435, light baconors 45s to 50s, heavy 53s to 5Ss, choppers to 633. . ■
