FROM INDIA.
An army officer in India was much annoyed by his "punkah wallah" going to sleep at night instead of [Hilling the punkah. So to wako him he kept a bucket of water near his bed and threw a cup-full over him whenever lie dozed off. Ono morning he found his mess-suit wet through. The "punkah wallah" had moved the chair with the clothes on to the spot he usually occupied,
