Christchurch, January 12. There is not much wheat on offer, and growers' prices arc generally above buyers' limits. Millers arc not inclined to gvc more than equal to 3s 3d at ihu mill, while 3s 3d to 3s Cd at country stations is asked tor prime wheat. Ouo small lot of prime Tuscan has been bought by a merchant at 3s 3d at a country station, and a line ot 1000 bushels of good milling Tuscan and Hunters has been taken by a miller s ut 3s lid at a country station (equal to 3s 3d at the mill).

The only transactions taking place in oats are the clearing out of old stocks in merchants' hands, in view ot the arrival of the first of the new crop about the end of the month. Prices for feed oats arc easier, and a line of about 400 bushels of light Danish has been bought at. Is 8d at a country station.

Oat sheaf chart is also somewhat lower in price, and 57s Gd is about the outside price that could be paid.
