CRICKET. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Dunedi n . January 16.
The cricket match, Queensland v. Otago, was continued and concluded today, the visitors winning hy eight wickets. Continuing their first innings, with five wickets down for 128, the total was carried to 194 before the innings closed Lewis made 43 in good style, and Hoare 44; Eitchcockmadel2. Fishercame out with an average of 9 wickets for 50 runs. Otago started badly, Baker being out first ball. The total was carried to 149, but at f ne time it seemed likely that the local men might suffer a one innings defeat Johnstone (32), Clarke (19), Kinvig (15), Spraggon (29), and Austin (14) were the principal scorers, Lewis 6 for .77, and Miller three for 42 were successful bowlers Requiring 49 to win the Queenslanders went in at 6.10, and got the required number for the loss of two wickets. Bradley made 12 before he was bowled, and Donahoo was nob out with 23 Fisher's one wicket cost 23 runs, and Kinvig's 20.
