INTERPROVINCIAL. (BY TELEGRAPH .) CHRISTCHURCH. September 20.
At a meeting of the Canterbury Progressive Liberal Association tonight & resolution was carried ; " That all loaeoa granted by the Government shall be subjeot to periodical re»valua tion and adjustment of rent on the baeiß of the value of the land, irrespective of improvements, and that Messrs G. W. Russell and G. J. Smith, M.H.R.'s, be asked to introduce a bill giving effect to this resolution." It was resolved to write to the Premier congratulating the Government on its decision to determine some of the coal lenses on tho West Coast, and trueting that the Government will shortly determine the wholo of the coal mining leases of the colony and put an end to the present extortionate monopoly.
