Tho racehorses Lottie, Yattenfeldt, and St, Kildtt, aro to bo shipped to Napier to-morrow to fulfil their Hawkes Bay engagements, It has been decided not to tako St. Glemont*. The Women's Politioal lloform League hold their first publio mooting. Mrs Kerr (president) presided, Among the speakers woro Mr Connolly (Amoricau consul), and Mrs OolHngs (vice-president), Mr George Aldridgo followed with a practical address on tho land question. Mrs Hondre road a paper entitled "Justice to woman in fact as well as in theory." A protosb woo passed against a Sunday train service.
