The London market will not then Affect the local price unless an advance of that kind takes place. Much velvet wheat linn been required from this district by Southern millers for mixing purposes, and it is this demand that is likely, if any docs, t<» affect the prices now going for wheat. Every parcel offering is now eagerly picked up at from 2a 4d to 2* 5d for particularly primo ■ample*, and 2s 3Jd to 2s 4d for good milluiir line*. Tuscan and chaffs are not enquired for, and they arc quoted Jd to Id less than velvet. Fowls' feed is plentiful at Is 9d to It lOd. In oats there is little doing v£ recent quotations, and short are nominal at Is 4d to Is 5d ; and Danish and Tartars at Is Sd to Is 3Jd. Of barloy none is (iffeiing. but beat malting samples would commanTtts 3d to 3s sd, and milling from l2a 6d to 2s 9d.
