Received September 14, at 1 a.m. Sydney, September 13. Arrived- R,M,S, Maripnsa, from San Francisco, via Auckland. Sir G. R. Dibbs, Premier of New South W^Ies, who has befln on a visit to the Old Country, met with an enthusiastic reception on liia ittending the House this afternoon. Sir George agreed to the course adopted by his colleagues with regard to the motion of censure tabled by Mr Reid, leader of the Opposition, and he challenged the Utter to restate the charges and let the House deal with them to-morrow. Mr Riid replied that he would move the motion standing in his name, provided the Government would not oSer any obstruction to its being debated without delay. The Premier replied that the motion ha-i already been treated as so much waste paper by the Government, and would be so treated until Mr Reid chose to accept the challenge, and give fresh notice. Mr Reid making no reply, the House proceeded with the ordinary business Melbourne, September 13. The Duke of Argyll, 6.8., which left London for Auckland "on Au«uab 2, passed Wilson's Promontory to-day, and signalled all well.
