PRESENTATION AT WESTON.
(from a correspondent. ) On Saturday, Miss Jane Tonkins was the recipient of a silver cruet &taud by her fellow-teachers in the Sunday School here, the occasion being her appioaching marriage to Mr James Russell, of this district. Tha presentation was made by Misses Chalmers and Jackson. I under stand that everything that is right and proper to b« said on such occasioua was not omitted. After the business of the Sunday School was over yesterday, the superintendent (Mr R. J-ickson) thanked tho teachers on her behalf, tor cheir nice gift, knowing that ib was prompted by feelings of esteem and love toward her, which feelings would, he knaw, continue to exist between them through life, and also betweeß her pupils and herself. Miss Tonkins had been first a scholar, and for tho last two years an effioient help in the Sunday School, and while sorry at losing her services, he rejoiced at har being about to enter another sphere, which waB both honorable and useful, and he concluded by wishing her happiness and prosperity in her n«w home.
