A mooting of the committee appointed to tako stops to form a North Inland Dairy Association was hold to-day, when it was decided, owing to tho Bmall number of satisfactory replies to tho circular sent out since last meeting, not to pro* coed with tho formation of tho association, but to join tho Middle Island Association. Leave to appeal was granted in tho Picturesque Atlas case, and the local subscribers have put down a good sum to see tho mattor through. Tho Trades Council have carried a resolution inviting tho Premier to address* public mooting hero. There is no doubt now that the amount required to hold tho next meeting of the Now Zealand Rifle Association here will be subscribed. The annual report of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing ARsociation shown that) 25 club? are now afliliatod.
