Replying to a question as to whether the Government would communicate with tho New Zealand Government with a viow to effecting a reduction in tho cable rates, Sir Henry Parkos said that) no reduction could bo looked for unless tho colonies agreed to renew tho subsidy, which New Zealand, in 1886, refused to do.
