Received October 14, at 0.45 p.m. Sydney, Octobor 14. Influotm is rapidly spreading throughout tho country, and several deaths have resulted. A number of cases are reported in the city. Adelaide, Octobor 14. Tho captain of the steamer Summerliold denies the statement of the crow that they woro badly treated during tho voyage from Hamburg. He saya that tho three men died in tho Rod Soa from oxcessivo heat, which registered 128 in tho sliado. Influenza is proavlent in tho city. Melbourne, October 14. In tho Legislative Council, in Committoo on tho Federal Constitutional Bill, tho amendment maie by tho, Assembly prohibiting plural voting was rejected.
