DUMMYISM— A NEW STYLE.
The Macton Mercury says : We should presume that the most successful way of putting a stop to dummyism— about which there is so much talk at the present time — would be to have a few more individuals the same as they have up the coast. After the necessary improvements had been done as required by the Act, Mr Lindgrabber requested the transferof thesaid sections from the dummies to himself. It hud been, n» doub!-, previously agreed upon by the dummies tint they would stick to the land, so each individually answered, " No, my name is on the lease as the selector, and I am going to stick to the land." And they are both flourishing settlers up that way to-day.
