The proposal to establish a GermanAustralian bank hns met with much support, both in official and mercantile circles. The capital of the bank is 20,000,000 florins, and was subscribed in four hours. Washington, Jauuary 28. Obituary— Senator Riddleberger, of Virginia. A locomotive ran into a funeral procession at a level crossing in Chicago, and killed five of the mourners.
