June 1.
A man named Richard Faville was arrested on Saturday night on a charge of arson at Oeo. Faville had been turned out of a hotel for being drunk and disorderly, and soon after the occupants of the house had gone to bed a large box c ntsining some iufl itnraable material waa found to be burning close to the outside of the wall of the house (a wooden one). Faville was discovered crouching behind the fence near the hotel, and he was brought up at Manaia this morning and remanded.
