The tenders for the South Australian loan, L 1,500,000,, 500,000, at 4 per cent, were opened to-day, wben tbe amount applied for was found to be L 3,750,000. , Tenders at LIOO 6a will receive 31 per cent of amount applied for above that in full. A meeting of the Cabinet was held yesterday at which it waa resolved that the ministry should resign in consequence of the defeat on the budget. Mr Gladstone accordingly proceeded at once to Balmoral, and informed H>ir Majesty the Queen of the decision arrived at. Parliament has been adjourned until Friday.
