The funeral of Mr Frank Parkes took place here at 3 o'clock to-day. There was a very large following, the deceased being very ge?ierally respeoted He w«s one of the oldest settlers in this district, hie parents having arrived in tho colouy lr 1842, when he was only ueton years of ate.
