At tho request of Mr Maurice Joel, we havo examined the profit and loss account in his books for a poriod of 10 years, embracing the years 1872 and 1881 inolusive, and extracted therefrom all credits and debit* arising from ordinary trade transaction*, and wo find that tho lesults run very evenly throughout the period, and that without taking into account the rental of tonement^ at present vacant.
