OTEPOPO ROAD BOARD.

The monthly mooting of thin Board wai hold on Friday last. Present : Messrs Falconer (chairman), Henderson (treasurer), Anderson, M'Donald, A. Marshall, Watson, Ritchio, Darrooh, and Row. On the motion of Mr Anderson, seconded by Mr M'Donald, the minutes of last meeting wero adopted nt read. Tho outward corrospondenco was read and npprorod. The inward correspondence wai read, and considered as follows : A memorial from ratepayers in Herbert requesting that Monk street, opposite sections 31 and 32, block XXIX, Herbert, bo forniod. Mr Anderson moved that tho matter bo postponed till after harvest. Seconded by Mr Marshall, and carried. A letter from the Kikanui Road Board, asking if this Board will assist in ereoting a footbridge, and improving the ford at D<ivi«' Crossing at Island Stroam. Mr Uonderson moved, and Mr Ritchio seoonded — That this Board should oooporato with the Kaknnui one in the work. Carried. A lottor from the Waimato County clork, requesting information about tho Board's expenditure since 1875, and a list of the officers with n memo, of their salaries. Mr Henderson moved — Th|jl^ recoipt of tho letter be aoknowlodgod, bu^' that until tho Board is aware of the use to which tho information is to bo applied, it cannot comply with tho request. Seconded by Mr M'Donald and carried. A lottor from tho Ranger, giving a month's notice of his resignation, according to agreement. It was decided not to appoint another till after harvest. Mr M'Donald reported that some landslips had rondorod the Breakneck road impassable. Mr Ross morod — That the members for the subdivision bo empowered to have it repaired. Seconded by Mr Ritchio and carried. Mr Ross drew attention to tho state of tho road between section 35 block V, nnd section 12 block VIII. Mossrs Hondor«on and Ritchie wero appointed to got a pile put in the bridge at Mr Todd's. Moisrs Marshall and M'Donald were requested to got the bridge at Main's gate repaired temporarily. Tho enginoor was requested to prepare plan and specification for improving the road betwoon sections 3 , 21 and 3, block IV. Accounts, amounting to LO4 19s 2d, wore passod for payment, after which the Board adjourned.
