The Argus of the 13th inst. reports : Breadstuff! have been quiet, and com* piratively little has been reported in the way of sales, buyers having showu less disposition to operate in the face of the arrivals coming forward. Flour, however, is quoted at LIU 10s to LU, but tho market is very dull. Holders of wheat still quote 4s 7d to 4s 8d for local requirements, and for prime shipping parcels m new bags 4s 9d is wanted, but with a week's arrival of 27,532 bays of whe.it and 3,593 bags of flour for Melbourne, oesides 1,113 bags of the former for Williamstown, it may fairly bo concluded that an easier feeling must prevail. Arrivals of barley amount to 1,900 bags. Oats are very firm ; holders of fine New Zealand feeding do not think of quoting under 3s, and indeed are not anxious to press ■nleo •>♦■ Mia pripo IVTaivn i* voiy ■n1»il>lo »t 33 6>l for good samples, though 3s 5d may be takon for second quality.
