Several woll-known coasters bavo arrived hero, and intend taking part. Subscriptions aro being collected in aid of Mrs Donald, whose husband was shot at Kaiwarri rango on Saturday. An amateur entertainment, and atao a naval one aro advertised for tho benefit of tho widow. Tho following govornors of tho Now Zealand Institute have boon elected by tho Affiliated Societies for tho current year : Dr. Bullor, 0. M.G., F.ll S. ; M. T. Kirk, F.L.S.; Captain W. D. llmsoll, M.11.R. Alfred Frasor commences his task of walking 106 miles in 24 hours, at tho Arcade, at 9 o'clock this evening.
