The rapid advance of the British troops on Cabul has produced complete disorganisation amongst the Ameer's troops, and anarchy prevails in the city. ' A political crisis in Franco, owing to the change ol Ministry, is probable. January 17. The Directors of the Sink of England have»reduced the rate of discount to four per cent. M 'Comas and Co. have failed for .LBO,OOO. The failure is attributed to depreciation in the price of wool. The German war vessels Ariadne and Merititus iiave been directed to exact satisfaction from the S-vmoan Oovornment.
