Mails Close— On and after January 2nd mails will close as under :—: — For Dunedin, daily, at 6 a.m., 11.30 a.m., and 2.50 p.m. For Port Chalmers and Palmerston, daily, at 6 a.m., and 2.50 p.m. For intermediate office 3, daily, at 6 a.m. For Christclmrch, daily, at 11.30 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. For Wellington and Northern Ports, daily, at 3.15 p.m. For Timaru and Waimate, daily, at 6 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. For Waitaki and Pukeuri, daily, at 6 a.m. For Duntroon, aaily, at 6 a.m. and 2.50 p.m. For Papakaio daily, at 2.50 p.m. For Awamoko, on Tuesday and Thursday, at 2. 50 p.m. For Omarama and Upper Ferry, on Wednesday, at 6 a.m. For Weston, Ngapara, and Enfipld, daily, at 3.15 p.m.
On and after January 2nd receiving offices will be opened for letters only at Robert Aitken's store, Thames street, and Thomas Bunting's, Ure street, being cleared daily at 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. FRED. BICKNELL, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Oamaru, Jan. 13, 1879.
