The boys engaged at the Hamilton colliery, Hunter district, hare struck for higher wage*. The French war steamer •Viftorteuie, with the Admiral for the P.icific station, arrived yesterday. The Bulli lock-out is still unsettled. A meeting yestornight expressed sympathy, and promised assistance to the miners. «Mr Green, one of the owners of the Orient line, has applied to the Government for certain concessions to steamers in return for valuable services rendered to the colony. Mr Parkes has requested further information. A vote of want of confidence in the Queensland Ministry has been carried, and the Government has resigned.
