The nomination of oindidates to represent Malaura in the House of Representative!", takes place to-morrow. It is expected that Messro Shanks and Kinro»3 will contest the election. Tim moderate party intended to briujj Mr Thos. Denniston forward in their interest, bnt owing to the extreme moderation of itfr Shanks' addresses, they have decided to support that gentleman. Mr Kinross, tlio other candidate, is an ultr.i-Groyile, and they (the modorato party) would regard it as a great calamity did he succeed through any ■plitting of votes, as between Shanks and Denniston, in obtaining the seat. Both Mr Shanks and Mr Kinross aro working hard and are addressing the oledtors in the various centres of population, generally receiving unanimous votes of oonfldenoe ; while the friends of both parties are confident of guocess. Splendid weather is prevailing iti Invercargill at present. H. Young Morria, the New Zealand Blondin, gave a successful performance on Saturday evening. Welsh, the Waikawa murderer, prolerycs the utmost indifference as to his position. Up to to-day the date for the execution has not boon fi*od,
