AUCKLAND. April 10.
A deputation from the Thames Harbor Board waited onthe Hon. Mr Whitaker, in consideration of the Board taking over the administration of the foreshore and harbor. Te Paturi, charged with the murder of Morgan, has been found guilty, and sentenced to death. The principal point relied on was that Morgan cursed Te Paturi and gave provocation. The Judge, in directing the jury, said they were bound strictly by Lngliih law, not* by Maori customs. Moanatiri sharec, Lll 10s to Ll4 10s ; Kurunui Hill, 32* 6d to 37i 6d.
