The topsail schooner Pelican, .Captain Campbell, arrived from Dunedin at an' early hour on Saturday morning. • She has on board a quantity of cargo, and will fill up hoto with produce for Hokitika. > The Oamaru and Dunodin Steamship Company* s.s. Waitaki, Captain Edio, took nor departure for Dunodin at 1 1.18 a.m. on Saturday, with about 100, passengers and a mtantifcy of produce. The Union Steam Ship Company's p.s. Salmon having gone into dock at Port Chalmoi"), to undergo overhaul and cleaning, tho s.h. Maori, Captain Borncch, was dcBi patched from Dunedin in her stead on Saturday night. Leaving Dunodin at 11.40 p.m., tho Maori oxporionced a strong S.VV. gale all tho way up the coast, arriving hero at 6 tt.m. yesterday. She brought nine passengers and 33 tons of general cargo, and aftor shipping a return freight, will leave for Dunedin again 10-night, at 6 o'olook. The topsail schooner Dunedin, Captain Stewart, came in hero from Allday Bay on Saturday afternoon, for iheltor. Tho Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Taiaroa, Captain Picteraon, called in hor,o on her way from Timarn early yesterday morning, and aftor receiving on board several patwongefs, left again immediately for Duncdin.
