On Friday ovoning about thirty momborn of the Star of Otepopo Lodge, No. 1)H, mot to bid farowoll to Bro. William .Stark, who is about loaving tho district for Tapanui. Aftor full juatico had been done to the profusion of good things provided for tho occasion by Bro. Living! ton, with his usual ltboraltty, Bro. J. Ryley, W. 0., took tho chair. Ho expressed regret at having to part with one whom fie had known ao long and so Intimately, and thought tho Lodgo would agroo with him. that thoy woro losing an active and useful mombor; but doubtless his influonoe would be used to advanoo tho oauso elsewhere, should opportunity serve. One thing ho regretted, viz., that he was loaving tho district alone, and not taking one of tho siatora of tl»o Ordor wUh him, as he (Mr Ryley) had such a high opinion of tho ladies of the district, that ho doubted if ho would find anything to compare with fthom in tho land to which ho was * going. JBro. Stark, In replying, aald he thought they were doing him too much honor, and doubtod if he dosorved it. Ho expressed hi* determination to do his utmost for tho oauso, wherever ho might be, and thanked tho mooting for their heartfelt sympathy, and tho expression of their regard. A variety of spooohes and songs by the brothers and sisters present, having been given, a very nooial meeting was brought to a oloso at about half-past 10, and after a few words of prayer by tho W. 0., and a gonoral hand-shaking, the company diaporsod, ____________
