DUNEDIN. April 8.
Caleb Moore has been fined L10 for selling tickets in the Dunedin Cup sweep. Prescott, charged with rape is remanded till Manday. John Thomson, a contractor, charged with violently assaulting Barnes, Inspector of Works for the City Corporation, is remanded for a week. The assault was committed this morning ; Barnes is in a precarious state.
