The "Daily Times," &ays :— " It is pleasing to think that the pioprietors of tho new Floating Dock nro likely to bo rewarded foi , their ventuie so far as employment for the Dock is concerned. Lately, no sooner ono vessel is out than another requires to go in ; and at present, if tho Dock was doublo the size, thete would be ample employment for her, and honco mo«e work forcatpenteis and others. The Colhni,wood, nowundeigoins repairs in tho Dock, consequent on injuiies leceived by driving ashoie at the Heads, will probably be followed by the ship H}dia, which stmclc off Cape Saunders, and is now being rapidly dischaiged of her coal cargo. Again eho ship Mai la, w Inch has an ived at the Bluff from Jlaldon Island, after having met with a casualty in the South Seas, will no doubt como on here, and avail hersolf of the Dock's &ei vices. The titeanier Taiaroa will also be shottly taken in for an overhaul."
