THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL. (Condensed from "Daily Times" Report.)
Tuesday, 20th November. Mr Huughton presented two Petitions in favor of a deduction of the Export Duty on Gold. The Petitions Were received and read. Mr Vogel explaiued, in reference to the Ciisis, that Mr Bell and himself were not sufficiently agreed in opinion to be ablo to unite in forming a Ministry. That His Honor the Superintendent had consented to Gazette himself (Mr Vogel) and two other members, whoso names he laid beforo him, as an Executive ; but on reference to the Executive Council Ordinanco, it was found theie must be four members to form a Government. After further explanation, the House adjournod to two o'clock the next day. The "Daily Times" of 21st reports '— Last evening it was stated that tho arrangements for the formation of a Government were completed, and that in the course of this morning the names of the following gentlemen •would be gazetted :— Mr Vogel, Treasurer ; Mr Mouat, Secretary of Public Woiks .and Provincial Scci etary ; Mr Maddock, Piovincial Solicitor ; and Messr3 Molliion and Orbell, noa official membuis.
