Taipa District High School

ONLY WAITING MINISTER’S APPROVAL Mr. A. W. Ansley of Paranui reports that which will be of interest to all parents within the eastern portion of the county. He states that the Taipa District High School will possibly soon become established fact after a delay to the project coming about by the withdrawal of the Oruru School Committee from the scheme. The statement goes on to say that the Education Board took a referendum on the matter amongst those concerned, and a majority of the Oruru parents voted in favour of the establishment of a central school sited at Taipa. Those* interested have been advised by the Education Board that the approval of the Minister of Education is now awaited, and with this given the school will be completed at the earliest possible date. This news will give those porents of children concerned great satisfaction, when it is realised just what benefit and advancement it will be on the children’s education.
