Kaitaia Aero Club
ANNUAL MEETING There was a fair attendance when the Kaitaia Aero Club held its Annual General Meeting in Kaitaia on Thursday evening- last, with the president, Mr. J. E. Henderson, presiding. The annual report showed that finances in general were healthy, though schemes had to be thought out for putting the Club on a sound financial basis, having in view the heavy expenditure which accompanies the putting into being of service, aircraft safe for public use. In addition there are buildings to house these to be
erected, and other "expenses too numerous to mention. The report also went on to say that membership was growing, and that licensed pilots were increasing in number, this latte'- giving cause for much satisfaction. The President gave thanks to all (hose who had aided in the efforts of the Club, and wished the incoming committee every success for the coming Club year. Election of officers resulted as follows : President—Mr. J. E. Henderson ; Vice-President—Dr. J. H. Webber ; Secretary—Mr. A. H. Langman ; Treasurer Mr. J. Agnew ; Club Captain—Mr. N. V. Spanhake ; Committee- —Messrs. R. T. Johnston, K. Hollay, N. M. Quarrie, F. H. Myers ; Instructor—Mr. F. H. Myers. It was reported that within two months the hangar for the housing of the planes would be completed with the efforts of working-bees, activities of which would commence almost immediately.
