Personal Miss A. Sorieh of Waiharara is holidaying at Mangonui wjth Mr. and ! Mrs. Moffatt. Mrs. Hemy has returned after j spending a holiday in town. Mr. and Mrs. Rule and two sons are spending a holiday in Mr. Hill’s | bach at Mill Bay. Mrs. S. Vogan is returning to Wha- - ngarei tomorrow after spending- a few weeks with Mrs. Raynor. Mrs. Spachies is also the guest of Mrs. Raynor. Mr. and Mrs. Culver are in town on business. Mr. Beasley had a hurried trip to town by plane a few days ago. Miss Jean Ansley of Paranui is the \ guest of Mrs. Edmonds. Mr. and Mrs. Dugmore motored to Auckland today after spending several weeks at Mangonui. Mr. Pierce left by bus yesterday j for Auckland after spending six weeks at Mangonui. Guests at the Old Oak are : Mr. and Mrs. Cordwall and Miss Cordwall, Mr. Hayes, Mr. Donaldson. Mr. Whitely and Mr. Kains, Miss Lambourne and Miss Kains. “And she has made him a good wife?” j “I couldn’t say ; but I know she’s made him a very good husband.” ® “It is foolish to lick the gummed ’ side of a postage stamp,” declares a doctor. Still, it’s not so idiotic as licking the other side.
