Personal Mrs. F. Lunjevich has had as her guests her sister, Nurse Barrington, and friend, Nurse Maria. Guests at the Herekino Hotel lately i have been Messrs. D. R. Main, L. H. 1 Johnson, R. Kepa, R. M. Carlson and M. L. O. Berg of New Plymouth, I. J. Veitch, J. C. Rurse and B. Ballin of Christchurch and Mr. and Mrs. Laurin of Auckland. Messrs. J. and L. Geddes, Miss I. Geddes and Miss D. Bourks returned from a quick trip to Auckland last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Slyfield have returned after a combined business trip

to Auckland and a tour to WhUmnga, the Bay 6f Plenty and Rotorua. They also attended the Royal N.Z. Yacht j Squadron’s weekend at Kawau. i ® The Manukau Sports Committee j is very busy getting the grounds ready ' for the sports on Saturday. ® The beach picnic for the Herekino School Children which had to be postponed last year was held last weekend. A large crowd attended and an enjoyable day was had. Some light rain in the early afternoon spoilt the enjoyment of some but later the fun went on again.
