When the Cancer Campaign Appeal was under discussion by the County Council last Wednesday, the chairman (Mr. W. J. Wilton with a laugh. ☆ Council was considering a letter which asked why Barriballs road had been changed to that from Gartons road. “What does it matter?” asked Cr. Wilton. “Call it road. What’s in a name?” “True,” interposed Cr. Hales. “A road by any other name would smell as sweet,” he concluded, misquoting Shakespeare. ☆ Berghan, in referring to the bad approach to the Ahipara Hill road. 9*id : ,■'**’ “I can assur’F you.
