SATURDAY’S DANCE A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION With the new dance band, the Modernaires, on the rostrum on Saturday night last, a large crowd danced to complete repletion and satisfaction. Though the evening was above mild in temperature, this did not for one moment hinder the sequence of dances or detract in any way from the gaiety of the evening. The new ventilation of the hall by window pitch was much appreciated, and will be so by all future dancers using- the premises. This dance served really as a more or less debut for the new dance band, and as the evenings wear away so are the bandsmen gaining more confidence in their powers and building up a larger and more diversified repertoire.
