BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD RENEWAL LOAN (No. 2) 1919 of £23,000 NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER ; pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given' 1 that the following resolution i passed at a meeting of the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board held on Wednesday, the 2nd day of February, 1949, and intended to operate as a SPECIAL ORDER, will come before the Board for confirmation at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, the 2nd day of March, 1949, at 10 a.m. at the Board’s Offices, Broadway, Kaiko'ne. Resolution THAT the Bay of Islands Electric Powei* Board in pursuance and in exercise of the conferred on it by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve to raise by way of Special Order a Special Loan of £23,000*v- (Twenty three thousand pounds)? to be known as the RENEWAL LOAN (No. 2) 1949, £23,000, in order to provide additional monies for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a portion, namely, £35,000 of the Special Loan, 1938, of £200,000. THAT for the purpose of security tho payment of the interest and principal of the said Special Loan, a specially annually recurring rate of 29/100ths d. (twenty-nine one-hundredths of one penny) in the £ will be made and levied unon the. rateable value (on the

THAT the rate payable for brokerage underwriting-and'procuration fees in respect, of' the raising of the said or any part thereof shall not in'the Aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised. to Section 17 of the LoLoans Act 1926, the Board proposes ,t§raise the Loan by SPECORfrSE, and public notification :! is hereby given that a Poll of Ratepayers is required if not less than 5 per cent (five per centum) of the Ratepayers in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Baj|-pf Islands Electric Power Board at 1 any time before the Ist day of Match, 1949. * A certified copy of the above resolution is deposited at the Public Office of the Board, Broadway, Kaikohe, and at the Office of the Local Authority of each constituent district situated within the Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and is open to the inspection of the Public for a period of twenty-one days immediately preceding the 2nd day of March, 1949.
