Kaitaia Pony Club

INAUGURAL MEETING HELD Bad weather prevented many from attending the inaugural meeting of the Kaitaia Pony Club which was on Morpeth’s Estate, but despite th : s inclemency, the attendance was above expectations and showed that the Club would prove to be a great success. Mr. H. L. Sloane, chief instructor of the Mangonui Club, gave a short lecture to the children, and Mr. L. Steed, chairman of the Central Committee, stated that he was pleased to see such a fine muster of children. It was announced during the proceedings that another meeting would be held soon, and all interested were asked to attend. Officers of the Kaitaia Pony Club that have been elected are : President—Mr. J. T. Clark ; Secretary—Mr. M. J. Wyatt ; Committee —Messrs. F. Donaldson, B. Horn, P. Donaldson, Mesdames J. Hughes, H. Carson, W. Morpeth, M. Wyatt, J. T. Clark ; Instructors—W. Morpeth and J. Hughes ; Delegates to Central Committee —D. Jameson and J. T. Clark.
