Mr. and Mrs. F. Vazey and sons left on Monday, en route for their new home at Te Awamutu. School Concert On Thursday last, si concert in honour of Mr. F. Vazey, who was teaching in Waiharara, but has been transferred, was organised and given by the children at the school. A good programme was put on, almost every child contributing some item, and concluding the concert by singing together, “Now. is the Hour.” A light repast of cakes and soft drinks was served and much enjoyed by the children. A presentation from the children of a lovely fire tidy, was presented by Mary Matich who spoke a few words of farewell and appreciation to Mr. Vazey. The guest of honour thanked them and said he was sorry to be leaving them all, that he hoped they would try hard for the rest of their school days and become a credit to their teachers and their country, and that they' would meet each other again someday. “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” ended a pleasant afternoon and all went home feeling they had done their best to send Mr. Vazey on his way with happy memories.
