Thursday’s Buttons match results : Mesdames Knightbridge and Theed defeated* Mesdames Steen and Cox. Saturday’s Buttons match results : Mesdames Parker and Copland defeated Mesdames J. E. Wilkinson and Theed. All entries for Championships and Hollay Memorial matches close on Saturday, November 22nd. An all-day tournament w’ill be held on November 29th, starting at 9.30 a.m. All entries for the Handicap Doubles must be in by November 22nd. Partners to be drawn.
Illegal Electrical Wiring Work At the Magistrates Court last Wednesday, the Electrical Wiremans Registration Board took proceedings against S. W. Cope of Kaikohe, for carrying out electrical wiring work, and not being licensed to do such work. Cope had removed part of an electrical installation from a cowshed at Victoria Valley, and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was fined £1 with costs by the Magistrate (Mr. Harley).
