LABOI/R RETURNED BY MARGIN OF SIX SEATS At the preliminary count of votes cast ac the Parliamentary election on Wednesday, Labour secured 43 seats (including Maoris) and National 37. Of these, however, there are 11 elec-' torates where the position could be changed when the final count, including absentee, postal and seamen’s votes, is made. The poll was a heavy one, approximately 90 percent of .hese on the rolls recording their votes. The following candidates’ return is assured, all having majorities of over 300 : Labour Party Rt. Hon.
