Takahue W.I.
The Takahue Women’s Institute held its Mliy meeting in the Hall on Tuesday. Mrs. H. Sanders, VicePresident, presided. As many members are absent on holiday, the attendant was small ; the meeting, however, was very enjoyable. Correspondence included a Federation report of the meeting held on May 6th. The Vice-President congratulated the members on winning the Cup at the Annual Meeting in Kaitaia. For the Birthday Party it was decided that a bob-in afternoon be held for the Leper Fund, on a date to be decided later. The roll call was an improvement in the home. Mrs. H. Sanders was the winner of the competition for the white posy. Competitions were won by Mrs. Masters, Miss Mavis Warner, Mrs. Eales and Mrs. Bedggood. The June competitions are : Pair of knitted gloves, a kitchen cushion made from sugar bag, three blooms of different varieties. The roll call is “exchapge of garden cuttings.”
