TEN MONTHS MEAT PRODUCTION
The official figures of killings for the present season at the Dominion’s Freezing works from Ist October to 31st July, as issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, show that lamb killings now total 10,957,246 carcases, compared with 11,061,953 carcases to Ist August last season, this being a decrease of 104,707 carcases. Wether mutton killings are 609,450 carcases, and ewe mutton killings 1,713,485 carcases, compared with 757,039 and 1,961,528 carcases respectively last season. Frozen Beef production has reached 560,539 quarters compared with 628,107 quarters last season.
