CAR STRIKES AWANUI BRIDGE
At about 4.30 on Saturday afternoon a car being driven South by Mr. C. Hoggard collided with the northern end of the Awanui bridge. Mr. Mark Hoggard who was a passenger, received injuries necessitating his removal to hospital where his condition was not regarded as very serious and he showed considerable improvement yesterday. The car, a light Vauxhall, was fairly extensively damaged.
