The advance payment to be made to suppliers to the Kaitaia Co-op. Dairy Coy., on the 20th December will amount to £27,822 at l/-i for finest grade cream as against £25,410 for the corresponding month of last season, at 1/- per lb. finest grade, an increase of £2512, and for the five months of the present season advances total £76917 as compared with £63518 for the corresponding period of the previous season, an increase of £13399.
Production during the past month has been well maintained with a steady increase in the daily output. The output for November totalled 295 J tons as compared with 282 i tons for November of last season, an increase of 4.44 percent and for the five months ending November, 818 tons have been made as against 6991 tons for the corresponding period of the previous season, an increase of 1181 tons or 17.06 percent.
This district was favoured with another heavy fall of rain during the past week and it is anticipated that the present heavy production will continue until the middle of January.
