CARD SOCIALS
The final card evening of this season organised by the Kaitaia Anglican ladies was held on Tuesday, when Mrs. Lunn was the leading Indy player and Mr. N. L. Gurr the gentleman. The consolation awards went to Miss C. Holder and Mr. F. B. Mitchell. The prize for the season’s play was won by Mrs. Frank Puckey, with Mrs. A. G. Bell runner-up. The gentleman’s season prize went to Mr. E. Brent. A card evening organised by Miss McIntosh’s committee, was held at Kaitaia on Wednesday evening when the leading players were Mesdames H. R. Watts, L. Mclntosh and Miss D. Mclntosh. The travelling prizes went to Mesdames H. Timbers, H. Mclntosh and Mr. W. Dyer. The consolation awards were won by Mesdames C. Ciene, T. Gallagher and J. Hughes. Mrs. A. H. Powell won one competition and Mrs. C. Crene another.
