Opening of Manse at Kaitaia
The Kaitaia Presbyterian Manse was completed this week and will be opened on Saturday, to-morrow, at 2 p.m., the service being conducted by the Rev. W. Elliott M.A , at one time minister in this district, and Rev. G. Budd, Home Mission Superintendent. The need for the provision of a manse in this centre has long been felt and the Church members can now congratulate themselves on possessing such a fine residence for their minister as has been built on Dominion Road overlooking the town. On Sunday June 3rd, the 12th anniversary of the Kaitaia Church will be held when the Rev. G. Budd, Home Mission Superintendent, will preach at Kaitaia in the morning and evening, and Takahue in the afternoon. METHODIST CHURCH Fairburn —11 a.m. Oruru —11 a.m. Mangonui—7.3o p.m. Kohumaru —1.30 p.m. Oruaiti —3.30 p.m. Rev. Andrew Johnston CATHOLIC CHURCH Kaitaia.—9 a.m. Holy Mass. Rosary Service. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament 7 p.m. Awanui. —Holy Mass 11 a.m. * * * * Father Henry of the Redemptorist Fathers, will conduct a three week’s mission through the North, as follows : Kaitaia—Sunday, June 3rd to Sunday June 10 th. Awanui—Monday June 11th to Sunday June 17th. Houhora-Waihopo—Monday June 18th to Thursday, June 21st. Ahipara Hill —Saturday, June 23rd to Monday, June 25th.
